Love the update!

Newest version has added some useful options. Enhanced zoom is really great for photos! Really helpful with the bright light.... That now you can set to stay on longer. Good stuff!

YES!! Great enhancements!!

The Eye Reader application with the new features in the updated version are so good that I moved this app to my page 1. I really like being able to change the duration the light can stay lit rather than hassles with other similar apps. KC

Indispensable!

This app is great! I am always using it to find things I have dropped, or in one case, find the new hiding place of one of my cats. The best thing for me is the lighted magnifier. As someone with cataracts that have not yet been removed, this is a lifesaver. I have trouble in low light situations, especially indoors, and this is perfect!

Must Have for Over-50 Crowd! Really Super Job!

This is an update, after 16 months of using this: EyeReader is a godsend!. I normally use bifocals (Im 64), and I just tried another magnifier app--and I am even more impressed with EyeReader! I have purchased several magnifier apps, and I like a couple of them, but EyeReader works the best and is the simplest to use. If you cant see close up, you cant see little controls, so simple is best, AND it still has all the bells and whistles: theyre just hidden a little bit so you dont have to deal with them if you dont want to (or cant remember how to at that moment in the restaurant). The Help button is a very obvious (?) button, allowing access to instructions (for light off and on, taking a photo of the magnified object, and zooming). and zooming is the normal iPhone pinch/expand gesture that we all expect and do instinctively. Very Elegant and "Simple" in a good way. I read the complaint about having to shake the iPhone to turn the light on and off, but I have found (in testing several magnifier apps) that I always want the light ON for best image clarity, so it is not a big deal for me. I find this is a really good app that seems to take into account the needs and experience of the users. Really a Very Good Job! (Extra Bonus: If you have the light on, and take a picture of a pill bottle, you have clear, magnified photo of the label in your camera roll with a prescription number you can actually read when you call the pharmacy for a refill: VERY USEFUL !!)

RIP OFF

It is just accessing my camera with no additional benefits. Wish I could get my money back.

I want a Refund!

Really? I paid for this???? Waste of money.. It no better than the built in camera. REFUND!!!!!!!

Really?

Read about it in the NY Times today. Disappointed.

A Lifesaver!

I am developing macular degeneration and the world has gotten much darker recently. Some of my favorite restaurants favor the intimate atmosphere of low light, and I cant read the menu. Having my phone in my pocket with this app will mean I can continue to enjoy eating there. I also can no longer read the newspapers or most print books. This will be a huge assist.

Save your money

Tried this tonight at Lupa- it was useless.

To the idiots that gave 1 star

Watch the tutorial

Mediocre

Just adds light to your camera. Ok in a pinch.

accessibility

this app is probably the worst Ive ever seen I have tried to adjust the magnification and it wont and when I look at anything is blurred as well as it will not switch from white background to black background and white letters from the white background and black lettering to invert and I do need that purpose for this app as well as the tutorial whatever that comes up will not read that to me so I dont think this is a good app I dig it should be pulled or redesigned
